I’m now posting all my exercise, health and nutrition posts to my new blog Fitty http://fittyblog.wordpress.com/ I’m still keeping this blog for all other posts
Lots of love x x x
For a breakdown of what my workout is refer to this post
Day 10 I did Workout A- wearing ONE trainer, because of my ant savaged foot! Also cardio was out of the question unless I want to Dance Hop for an hour!
Day 11 Made the mistake of eating too much chocolate at dinner- I really thought my body could handle 2 chocolate bars, I had 2 on Day 10 and I was fine, but on Day 11 my body just decided to feel sick for the rest of the evening. I struggled through Workout B, I did the whole thing apart from when it came to the Tracy Anderson Pretty Women section I only managed the arms portion.
It’s been a long time coming but my bf and I need to get on a nice structured non deprivation healthy eating thing. I’m really not a fan of dieting, I hate suffering and would choose exercise any day over food restriction, but with my inability to do cardio at present and I have to be honest watching what you eat seems to zap body fat a lot faster then muscular structure/toning. Soo I’m thinking of doing Perricone again this weekend, possibly the Metabolic Diet- this involves having some sort of smoothie in replacement of one of your meals and yummy salmon, soft cheese and veg for the rest, I’ll let you guys know how I get on!

Day 5 I was busy for most of the day and then ended up having a long sleep when I got in, so no exercise done- BAD! One good thing though is that I wasn’t aching all day from exercising the day before which I normally would be and I believe this is down to having a Workout and Recovery Juice- check out the recipe here
Day 6 Back on form, I did Workout B and even roped my bf into doing the ab sections and non Tracy Anderson leg exercises- I don’t want him to have teeny tiny little legs!
Day 7 I went shopping and then saw Skyfall- it’s brilliant by the way, afterwards I felt very sick and tired so went to bed without exercising.
Day 8 Oh dear another day without exercise- we did go cycling so that was something, but was so busy and didn’t get back until late so it didn’t happen. Don’t worry my next post will be more productive!

My muscles always seem to really ache after exercise and the following day and sometimes even the day after that. The pain is particularly bad if I’ve been using weights and can sometimes be so painful that I’m unable to do the exercise again even after 48 hours rest. I always stretch after every workout and have cold showers but this hasn’t helped so far but I’ve now found something actually works!
The Workout and Recovery Juice
This can be found in Jason Vale‘s book 7lbs in 7 days Super Juice Diet, even if you don’t want to follow an exclusively juice diet this is still a great book as has loads of yummy juice and smoothie recipes.
According to the book: Dr Norman Walker, one of the world’s leading juice pioneers, was a great believer in this juice, He believed the combination was the perfect balance of sodium and potassium- two vital minerals that we lose while working out. The Workout Juice should be taken around 30 minutes before exercise and within 1 hour after exercising. This juice helps with the aches and pains usually associated with exercise.
1/4 small cucumber
1 stick celery
Juice all of the ingredients and pour over ice.
Any fellow veggies/pescies will know that they are frequently asked why they decided to give up meat- well the book Skinny Bitch by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin is my reason for it.
While I’ve always stayed clear of red meat as I didn’t like the taste and found it too filling I used to eat poultry, bacon and sausages. Every now and then I would have a crisis of conscience and go veggie but it never seemed to last for too long. I saw Gordon Ramsay’s documentary on raising a pig and it then being slaughtered, although I felt really bad for the pig and wanted to be a veggie I just couldn’t make a big enough mental connection between the cute baby animal suffering and the food which seemed to bear no resemblance to it. I read Skinny Bitch because of the catchy title, without realising that this book promoted veganism. One of the chapters goes into graphic detail about some of the mistreatment of animals that goes on in the farming industry- I’m not even talking about the standard allowed mistreatment such as battery farming or injecting your animals with antibiotics which is popular in America, but workers physically abusing the animals for the fun of it. Anyway this really hit home and I was able to connect the disgust I felt from this chapter to eating meat and I’ve never touched it since! In fact meat actually physically repulses me- so I’ve obviously given myself a strong enough aversion to it which is enough to put me off meat for life. I do however still eat fish. I am sure that if I was exposed to some awful fish farming which I’m sure exists it would put me off, but I’m trying to actively avoid viewing that as I feel my health would suffer if I were to cut fish out of my diet.
I don’t judge anyone for eating meat- I was aware of all the awful farming conditions before and I still continued to eat meat, however I’m happier now I’ve given it up as I don’t have those cycles of feeling guilty, I don’t miss meat and I’m sure my diet is much better as I’m no longer having McChicken Sandwiches or sausage rolls.
